Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is a flowering plant in the family Zingiberaceae whose rhizome, ginger root or simply ginger, is widely used as a spice or a medicine. Ginger is gluten free and is widely used to add flavour in a variety of manufactured food and beverages.
Budermin Ginger Beer Compound is a fibre-free ginger liquid made from naturally pressed and extracted raw ginger to maintain the intense ginger flavour.
Suitable to add to a neutral hard seltzer base for a naturally brewed ginger beer or for premixing with an ethanol base for a spirits based RTD Ginger Beer.
Buderim Ginger Beer Compound is made from whole ginger rhizomes that have been thoroughly washed, diced, minced, pressed, filtered, batched and acidified. The is naturally sweetened and is able to be added at any stage of your production process.
Ginger has a distinct flavour sweet and slightly peppery with a spicy aroma. A great addition to add a little extra flavour to your spiced rum.
Uniqueness of ginger comes from its special compound: gingerol. Ginger contains several compounds among which a mixture of zingerone, shogaols, gingerols and volatile oils are responsible for its characteristic odour and flavour.
