About these Jansz – Sparkling Wine Barrels – 225 Litres / 59 Gallons – French Oak Barriques

While we cannot call these barrels “Champagne Barrels” for obvious reasons, they are the closest thing you will see to this coming out of Australia.

The climatic conditions of the Jansz vineyard rival the famed French wine region of Champagne. In fact, it was originally with French contribution that Jansz became Tasmania’s first sparkling wine made using the traditional Méthode.

Through their dedication to traditional wine-making methods, and the similarities to Champagne’s climate, Jansz Tasmania has become the most highly regarded and celebrated sparkling wine houses in Australia.

We have a strictly limited number of French Oak barriques (225L / 59 Gal) from the Jansz winery on offer. ONLY 6 Barriques are available! Do Not Delay!

It could be argued Janz we’re completely mad growing grapes in the wild and unforgivingly cold Tasmanian environment. But there’s méthode to their madness.

These barrels have spent their  their life housing premium independent Aussie Wine.  Their logos may or may not be shaved from the barrels prior to shipping and under no circumstances are customers allowed to leverage or use the former winemakers names in the marketing of their own beverages should you be a commercial brewer or distiller who is keen to use these barrels for commercial spirits or beer.  By all means you are allowed store your beer or spirit in these barrels and give them another generous life and your allowed to market the story of your product but you are NOT ALLOWED to mention any brand(s) that formerly housed amazing wine or spirit in these wonderful barrels without the brand owners permission.
